Terms of Service

Effective September 21, 2026. Last updated September 21, 2026.

The short version. Wire2Wire keeps score and does the math on the games you play with your friends. It is not a gambling operator, a bookmaker, or a payment service — we never hold, transfer, or process money between players. You are responsible for the wagers you agree to and for making sure they are legal where you play. We collect a fair amount of data to make the app work, and Section 8 explains exactly what and why.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Wire2Wire (“Wire2Wire”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the Wire2Wire mobile app, companion watch apps, website, and any related services (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, tapping through onboarding, joining a round or tournament, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

2. What Wire2Wire is

Wire2Wire is a record-keeping and calculation tool for golf. It lets you set up rounds and multi-round tournaments, enter scores, apply handicap strokes, track match status and leaderboards, configure golf games and wagers between players, view GPS yardages and hole maps where courses are mapped, and keep a history of your rounds and statistics.

Wire2Wire is expressly not:

  • a gambling operator, casino, sportsbook, bookmaker, pool operator or stakeholder;
  • a money transmitter, payment processor, escrow agent or financial institution;
  • a source of official handicap calculation, official competition results, or certified course measurement;
  • a substitute for the rules, conditions or officials of any competition.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you use the wagering and side-game features, you must additionally be of legal age to place a private wager where you are located, and you must be permitted by local law to do so.

You agree to give accurate registration information, to keep your credentials secure, and to be responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at spencer@driveupinvitational.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may be added to a round as a provisional or guest player by somebody else before you have an account. If you later sign up using the same phone number, that history may be claimed by your account.

4. Wagers, games and settlement

Wire2Wire lets players record private wagers and side games — Nassau segments and presses, skins, match play, team pots and similar — and calculates the outcome from the scores that players enter.

All wagers are agreements between players, not with Wire2Wire. We are not a party to any wager. We do not accept stakes, hold funds, escrow anything, guarantee payment, or move money between players in any way. Any amount the app displays is the arithmetic result of the scores entered and the game settings chosen. It is a record of what you agreed with each other, nothing more.

Payment between players happens entirely outside the Service, using whatever method you choose. You may store a payment handle (for example a Venmo or Cash App username) on your profile so other players know where to send money. That handle is a piece of text we display to people you play with; we do not connect to, verify, or transact with any payment provider on your behalf.

You are solely responsible for:

  • determining whether a wager is lawful where you and the other players are located, and not using the Service where it is not;
  • agreeing the stakes, rules and format before you play;
  • collecting, paying and reporting any amounts owed;
  • any tax consequences of amounts you win or lose, which are entirely yours to handle.

Disputes about who owes whom are between the players involved. We may show the underlying scores and settings that produced a figure, but we do not arbitrate, adjudicate, reverse or enforce wagers, and we have no obligation to become involved.

5. Rounds, tournaments and organizers

A person who creates a round or tournament (an “organizer”) controls its setup: the field, teams, formats, courses, handicap settings, pot configuration and payout split. Organizers can edit rounds, correct scores and end rounds. If you join an event, you accept that the organizer has this control.

Scores, match status, standings and side-game results are shared with everyone in the round or tournament. An organizer may also make an event visible to followers, who can view leaderboards and results without playing. Do not enter anything into a round that you are not comfortable other participants and followers seeing.

When an organizer's paid access sponsors an event, everyone invited to that event can participate without buying anything themselves. That access applies to the sponsored event only.

6. Invitations and contacts

The Service lets you invite people by selecting them from your phone's contacts or entering a phone number, which sends them a text message with a link. If you use this feature you represent that you personally know the recipient, that you have a good-faith basis to believe they want to hear from you about this round or event, and that sending the message complies with applicable law, including laws on unsolicited messaging.

Contact information you choose to share with us for this purpose is used to send the invitation and to match people to rounds. You are responsible for the accuracy of who you invite. Do not use invitations to send commercial, bulk or unwanted messages.

7. Your content and the licence you grant us

“Your Content” means anything you submit to the Service, including scores and statistics, round and tournament configurations, team and player names, profile information and photos, payment handles, course submissions, GPS anchors and map corrections, map-issue reports and any screenshots automatically attached to them, feedback, and support messages.

You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant Wire2Wire a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, publish, publicly display and otherwise use Your Content for the purposes of operating, providing, improving, securing and promoting the Service. This licence lasts for as long as we retain the content and, for the categories described below, survives deletion of your account.

Course, map and geospatial submissions

Course data, tee and green anchors, hole geometry, map corrections and similar submissions become part of the shared course database that all users rely on. For these submissions specifically, you grant us a perpetual and irrevocable licence on the terms above, including the right to combine them with other sources, correct them, publish the corrected result, and continue using them after your account is deleted. This is necessary because other players' rounds depend on that data remaining available and consistent.

Aggregated and de-identified data

We may create aggregated, statistical or de-identified data from Your Content and from your use of the Service, and we may use, retain and disclose that data for any lawful business purpose, including analytics, benchmarking, research, improving scoring and mapping accuracy, training and improving models and algorithms, and producing insights and marketing material. Aggregated and de-identified data does not identify you, is not treated as Your Content, and our rights in it survive termination of your account.

Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without restriction, attribution or compensation.

Your responsibilities

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit Your Content and to grant these licences, and that Your Content does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law. Do not upload other people's photographs or personal information without their permission.

8. Data we collect and how we use it

Our Privacy Policy is the full description and controls in case of any conflict. In summary, running the Service requires us to collect and process:

Category What it includes and why
Account and profile Name, email address, phone number, password credentials, profile photo, handicap index and payment handles. Used to identify you to people you play with and to secure your account.
Golf activity Courses, tees, hole-by-hole scores, derived statistics, match and tournament results, game and wager configurations and outcomes. This is the core record the Service exists to keep.
Location Precise device location while the app is in the foreground during a round, used to show yardages, position you on the hole map, and enable on-course mapping contributions. You can decline location permission; GPS features will not work without it.
Contacts Contact entries you specifically select when inviting someone. Used to send that invitation and match players to rounds.
Device and technical Device model and operating system, app version, device and installation identifiers, push notification tokens, IP address, crash reports and diagnostic logs.
Usage and analytics Screens viewed, features used, events and timings. Used to understand what works, fix what does not, and decide what to build.
Purchases Subscription and entitlement status, product identifiers, and receipt validation records received from Apple, Google and our subscription provider. We do not receive your card details.
Handicap service linkage If you connect a GHIN account, the identifiers and credentials needed to link it, plus the handicap, course and tee data and score postings exchanged with that service.
Support and submissions Messages you send us, map-issue reports, and any screenshot and round context automatically attached to a report so we can reproduce the problem.

We use this information to provide and operate the Service, to calculate scores, handicaps, standings and wager outcomes, to share your activity with the players and followers of rounds you take part in, to send notifications you have enabled, to process and verify purchases, to build and improve course maps, to detect abuse and secure the Service, to provide support, to analyse and improve the product, and to comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf, with other participants and followers of your rounds as described above, with the handicap service if you link one, and where required by law. See the Privacy Policy for details, retention periods, and how to exercise your rights.

9. Subscriptions and purchases

Some features require a paid plan. Current offerings are a monthly Premium subscription, an annual All Access subscription, and a one-time Tournament Pass that unlocks a single tournament. The features included in each, and their prices, are shown in the app at the time of purchase and may change.

  • All purchases are billed by Apple or Google through your app store account, under that store's terms. We never receive your payment card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Cancel through your app store account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends; cancelling stops future renewals and does not refund the current period.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We generally cannot issue refunds for store purchases.
  • A Tournament Pass is consumed when it is used to create a tournament and then permanently unlocks that event. It is not an entry fee, does not collect money from participants, and has no cash value.
  • Free trials, introductory offers and promotional pricing, where available, are determined by the app store and subject to its eligibility rules.
  • Paid access unlocks features for an event or round you sponsor. It does not transfer to other people's events.

We may change prices, plans and what each plan includes. Changes to a subscription price take effect at your next renewal and you will be given the notice and consent options the app store requires.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Apple and Google for distribution and billing, a subscription management provider, cloud hosting and messaging providers, map and imagery providers, analytics and crash reporting providers, and the GHIN handicap service operated by the United States Golf Association if you choose to link it.

Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, we do not control them, and we are not responsible for them. Wire2Wire is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the USGA, Apple, Google, Venmo, Cash App, any golf club or course, or any other third party named in the app, unless we say so explicitly.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any commercial gambling operation, bookmaking, pooling of third-party money, or any activity that is illegal where you are;
  • deliberately enter false scores, impersonate another player, or manipulate results to obtain money from someone;
  • submit deliberately false course, map or location data, or submit map data you have no right to share;
  • upload content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, obscene, defamatory, or that infringes anyone's rights;
  • send invitations or messages to people who have not agreed to hear from you;
  • scrape, bulk-download, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive our source code, or use automated means to access the Service;
  • interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or anyone's account;
  • resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service or its data without our written permission.

We own the Service, the software, and all intellectual property in it other than Your Content. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial golf, subject to these Terms.

12. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time. We may impose limits on use, and we may suspend the Service for maintenance, security or legal reasons. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own record of anything that matters to you.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the fullest extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy and non-infringement.

In particular, and without limiting the above:

  • GPS and course data. Yardages, hole maps, green geometry and pin positions are estimates derived from device location, third-party data and community submissions. They vary in accuracy and coverage, may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and must not be relied on for anything that matters. Verify distances yourself.
  • Scores, handicaps and results. Everything the app calculates depends on what people type in. We do not verify scores, do not certify handicaps, and do not produce official competition results. Handicap indexes shown come from the handicap service you link and are only as current as what that service returns.
  • Wager figures. Amounts displayed are arithmetic, not a determination of any legal obligation, and we do not warrant that they reflect what you actually agreed.
  • Your safety. Pay attention to your surroundings, to other players, and to the course. Do not use the app while driving a cart or in a way that puts anyone at risk.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wire2Wire and its officers, employees, contractors and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to the Service, on any theory of liability, even if we have been advised of the possibility.

We are specifically not liable for any amount wagered, won, lost, unpaid or disputed between players, or for any dispute between you and another player, organizer, course or third party.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Wire2Wire and its officers, employees, contractors and suppliers from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, Your Content, any wager or game you participate in, any invitation or message you send, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through the app or by following the account deletion instructions.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we discontinue the Service.

On termination, your licence to use the Service ends. Data shared into rounds and tournaments with other participants, and course and map submissions, may remain in those shared records as described in Section 7 and in the Privacy Policy. Sections 4, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 17 and any other provision that by its nature should survive, survive termination.

17. Disputes and governing law

Before filing anything, please contact us at spencer@driveupinvitational.com so we can try to resolve the problem informally. Most issues can be settled this way.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and Wire2Wire agree that any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

To the extent permitted by law, you and Wire2Wire each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.

18. Changes to these terms

We may change, add to, remove or replace any part of these Terms at any time, for any reason, in our sole discretion. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and the revised Terms apply to your use of the Service from the moment they are posted.

If we make a change we consider material, we will also make reasonable effort to tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Whether a change is material is our determination. We are not required to give advance notice of changes that are not material, including corrections, clarifications, and changes that reflect new or changed features.

Continuing to use the Service after revised Terms are posted means you accept them. If you do not accept them, your only remedy is to stop using the Service and delete your account. We may also ask you to accept the revised Terms in the app before you continue, and may limit or suspend your access until you do.

19. Contact

Questions about these Terms go to spencer@driveupinvitational.com.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Wire2Wire about the Service.
